News from Family YMCA of the Desert:
The Family YMCA of the Desert, in partnership with the Commander Allen Fund, is proud to announce its 31st annual “Hoedown at Sundown” which will take place on November 3rd at 5:30 PM and end “until your feet ache”, at the Agua Caliente Resort and Casino.
Hoedown at Sundown helps raise funds to support the youth of the Coachella Valley via the Family YMCA of the Desert’s local programming at its 40 locations across the desert cities, serving 3,800 children daily. This fun filled event will consist of a nightlong hosted bar, hearty western food served family style, plus entertainment with country music, games, and raffles prizes.
Guests can also participate in the silent and live auctions which are donated by local businesses in the community. Auction items range from an amazing three night stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawaii, two relaxing nights with breakfast at the Renaissance Indian Wells, a mouthwatering Spice 101 class by Savory Spice Shop in El Paseo, lively golf foursomes, wine, gift certificates to local restaurants, and so much more. Sponsorships are still available. To become a sponsor, and/or to donate an item or service for the auction, contact Shelby Goodwin at (760) 341-YMCA (9622)
