There are many displaced individuals and families, who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and have limited access to food. Sudden unemployment and unusually high temperatures have added to the suffering. We are working around-the-clock to provide families and individuals with the emergency assistance they need, now more than ever.
Requests for services have TRIPLED in the last month!
- State Licensed Child Care Center – open to children of working essential service parents.
- Nutritious hot meals in to-go containers for our neighbors facing hunger or with limited income.
- Drive-thru COVID-19 testing station with our partner Borrego Health to keep our entire community safe.
- Early opening of our Cooling Center due to the unseasonably high temperatures following social distancing guidelines
- USDA Food Distribution and Emergency Pantry continues to provide to those in need. Many are new faces, and for the first-time are experiencing food insecurity.
- Case Management offices continue to provide services in Indio, Palm Springs and soon in Desert Hot Springs.
- Temporary housing for 120 individuals, including families with children. Residents are provided with wrap-around support services and personal protection equipment.
