News from the GCVCC:
The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce awarded six scholarships at the recent Indio State of the City event. The recipients included three students from Shadow Hills High School and three students from Indio High School.
The Future Leaders Program was created in 2014 to help high school students better understand our local economy. By introducing them to opportunities while they are still in school, the program hopes to encourage college graduates to return to the Coachella Valley and invest their education back into the community.
This year’s scholarships were generously supported by the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians/Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, Dr. Frank Curry/Desert Urgent Care, and Mr. Nachhattar Singh Chandi/Chandi Group USA – Arco AMPM.
