The Auxiliary’s 6th Annual Memory Care Center Benefit Concert, Rhythm & Rainbows, scheduled for Sunday, February 10, 2019, will also celebrate 35 years for the Memory Care Center.
This now annual event has become a consistent offering of the desert’s finest musical talent meticulously and brilliantly gathered by Maestro Tim Bruneau. Colleagues from the Los Angeles Opera will be reunited with the finest voices from the Coachella Valley and the stirring sounds of the California Desert Chorale to celebrate the extraordinary creations of two iconic American composers: George Gershwin and Harold Arlen. From the contemporary operas and popular jazz standards of Gershwin to the spirited American classics from stage and screen by Arlen, Rhythm & Rainbows is sure to deliver an unparalleled afternoon.
Special guest artists: Suzanna Guzmán, Delatour Zimmer, Patricia Welch, Laura Stave, Michelle Fiore, Brianna Finnell, Ana Rangel, Yve Evans, and Eisenhower’s very own Lisa Lindley, MD.
2019 Honoree: Linda Hope, daughter of Auxiliary founder Dolores Hope.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. in the Annenberg Health Sciences Building at Eisenhower, Helene Galen Auditorium, with complimentary valet parking.
The concert will be followed by a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception in the rotunda and dining room sponsored by the following desert restauranteurs: Brandini Toffee, Daily Grill, Lulu’s, Norma’s Italian Kitchen, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Si Bon, and Sunrise Country Club.
