Palm Desert, California (February 27, 2018) – Desert Best Friend’s Closet, a non-profit dedicated to providing a Bridge to Employment with wardrobe and job search services, is proud to provide prom dresses for the Prom Dress Giveaway hosted by the Desert Recreation District.
“Prom is a rite of passage for our young adults. Sometimes, financial strains don’t allow these wonderful young women the opportunity to experience this milestone event. We are thrilled to be able to provide dresses and accessories so that they can attend” commented Connie Golds, Executive Director of Desert Best Friend’s Closet.
Four prom dress giveaway events are scheduled throughout the Coachella Valley. Appointments are required and participants must present a valid high school ID to participate.
Friday, March 2, 2018 from 2pm – 8pm at Palm Desert Community Center, 43-900 San Pablo Avenue, Palm Desert
Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2pm – 8pm at Indio Teen Center, 81-678 Avenue 46, Indio
Friday, March 16, 2018 from 2pm – 8pm at Bagdouma Park Community Center, 51-251 Douma Street, Coachella
Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2pm – 8pm at Mecca Community Center, 65-250 Coahuila Street, Mecca
