The GCVCC recently reached out to the County of Riverside for answers to questions local businesses have posed in relation to COVID-19. This week we address face coverings.
If a customer enters my business with their shirt collar pulled up over their face, does this satisfy the State mandate?
“Regarding the face coverings, we do not see a T-shirt collar as meeting the intent of a proper and safe face covering. Face coverings should be snug enough around the face to sufficiently guard against droplets entering or leaving the facial area, and free up the hands for the person to conduct their business. A T-shirt collar does not provide proper protection in the opinion of our Public Health Department. A neck gaiter that gets pulled up to properly cover the face is acceptable.”
