Accion, a local nonprofit microlender, is holding its annual business resource event Keys to Business Success on Thursday, June 14, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The round-table style event will feature five presentations from various business experts and attendees will meet in small breakout groups with experts of their choosing for three 35-minute sessions.
The free event is open to all types of businesses in any stage, and will feature special information for food and beverage businesses.
Hosted with the support of Accion’s national partner Samuel Adams, this is the first event in the region to feature the Brewing the American Dream program and provide Coachella Valley business owners the chance to learn how to take advantage of resources that will take their food and beverage business to the next level. * Financing for Business Success
* ABCs of Starting a Business
* Build Your Business Dream Team: Banker, Accountant, Attorney
* Tips for Running a Successful Food and Beverage Business

It is organized in partnership with the City of La Quinta, the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce and Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream. All Accion loan clients with food or beverage businesses are part of the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream program. Since 2008, Samuel Adams and Accion have partnered to bring entrepreneurs across the country business advice, mentorship, promotional opportunities, and other support for their small businesses. The Brewing the American Dream program has supported nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs in the past decade.
Accion is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs by providing business support and access to capital in Imperial, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. By providing loans ranging from $300 to $75,000, it creates opportunity for increased income, economic stability and employment.
